VideoServe Wedding Video History VideoServe
was started in the early 1970's by Malcolm
Dent, who, after buying his first video camera, an Olympus
301 was asked to film his sister's wedding. This first effort was
seen by some friends and one of them asked for her wedding to be
filmed and VideoServe was born. |

Among several filming highlights we have enjoyed over the
years, none has ranked so highly as having been
asked by Major Ron Ferguson to film the Duchess of York's Wedding preparations at Dummer and his grand-daughter's christening. Malcolm and Chris were privileged to provide footage denied the major networks and received glowing commendations from the Ferguson's. Copies also went to the Palace. The Royal connection has continued over the years and we have filmed almost every Royal except the Queen Mother and Prince Edward. We now make videos around the world, in exotic locations such as Grenada, Tobago, Switzerland, Barbados and Kenya, but our core business is still the many weddings around England that we attend every year. |

| The cameras changed from Olympus to
Panasonic F10 which for over a decade were
unbeatable for wedding videography, but 4
years ago we changed to the 3-chip Sony VX 1000's
and embraced the digital revolution. MDDM Non - linear editing means much better quality end products and digital technology means that videos and stills can now be converted to CD -ROMs. Along with John and Jason we have attained a reputation for quality and reliability second to none. Over 2000 weddings have brought repeat business in plenty, added to which all the major photographers who do not have their own cameramen only choose VideoServe, including David Streten Geoff Pollard, Simon John and the Rose Studio. |
