| Home to the Talbot Ponsonby family over 7
generations, Langrish House is set in 14 acres of rolling Hampshire
Countryside. Originally a small manor house, built in the early 1600s, it
has been added to over the years, with major additions in 1842. Langrish House is owned and run by Nigel and Robina-Talbot Ponsonby ,whose aim is to combine the advantages of a modern hotel with the comforts of a family home. Every room enjoys beautiful views over the extensive grounds. They are comfortable and well appointed and all have ensuite bathrooms, television, central heating and IDD telephones. House dates back to the 17th Century, but its heyday as a family home came
under the tenure of Charles William and Constance Louisa Talbot-Ponsonhy. They were married in 1868 and brought up seven children here. Family archives paint a picture of a jolly bustling life centred around the horses, dogs, cats, chickens and outdoor sports. There were musical recitals, plays, croquet on the lawn, sad partings, joyful homecomings, journeys abroad, huge houseparties for Glorious Goodwood and great celebrations such as Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897. |

| A-Z Guide 2003 Ask We have lots of experience helping Brides plan their weddings. We can put you in touch with: Florists, Car Hire Firms, Cake Makers, Discos, Video, Photographers, Stationers, Balloon Suppliers, Firework Specialists and more. Why not attend our annual Wedding Fair to gather more information? Booking Provisional Bookings will be held for up to 14 days. Bookings can be confirmed by letter and a signed Booking Form with the reservation deposit of £500.00. Candlelit Winter Weddings Winter weddings by Candlelight are a speciality of Langrish House. Drive and Lawns Please ask your guests not to throw confetti in the house or in the grounds. We have no objection to rice, which is equally traditional. We can supply fresh or dried rose petals @ £20.00 per small basket. Evening Finger Buffet Available at special prices from £9.75 per person when you hold your Wedding Breakfast here. Fireworks We would be delighted for you to organize Fireworks with an approved Firework Display Company - please make sure they are booked at least 2 months in advance and that it finishes no later than 10.30 at night. Menus Various menus are enclosed. The prices are based on all guests partaking of the same 3 Course Menu with the exception of vegetarians. Any further variation from the Set Menu, for dietary reasons, or choice, incurs a £5.00 surcharge (£7.50 on the day and timing may also be affected). Weekend weddings attract a minimum charge of £27.50 per head. |

| Napkins The Talbot Room can be laid up to your colour scheme. We can supply white linen napkins and slip cloths or coloured paper napkins free of charge. Coloured slip cloths can be hired at an additional charge. Overnight Stay Our rooms get booked very quickly! We strongly recommend you "block book" all 13 bedrooms for which we require a £300.00 deposit. Rooms will be available from 3.30pm. Earlier check-in must be by prior arrangement in writing, but cannot be before 1.30pm and may incur a charge. Photographs We have 14 acres of lovely gardens and grounds. You and your guests are welcome to wander at will and you will find some wonderful backdrops for your photographs. Video Cameras are welcome. Queries If you have any queries we will be happy to help. Room Hire There will be a Room Hire charge of £320.00 on Saturdays and £290.00 on other days of the week. This includes overnight use of our `Hideaway' Honeymoon Suite. Saturdays For Saturday Wedding Receptions from April to September inclusive and during December there must be a minimum of 60 guests, alternatively we reserve the right to levy a surcharge. |

| Transport There is plenty of space on our gravel drive and grass paddock for your guest's cars. If your guests wish to go home by Taxi we recommend that you advise them to book in advance as we are fairly remote. Unusual If you want to do something different, tell us what you have in mind and we will be happy to try and help. Vat All prices include VAT at 17.5%. Your Wedding Cake We are delighted to distribute slices of your Wedding Cake but are unable to serve your cake in lieu of a Sweet Course. ZZZZ Getting married is very exhausting. Enjoy the luxury of our Hideaway Honeymoon Suite, indulge in breakfast in bed perhaps, and listen to the birdsong in the morning. |
